What is an EE ID?

Is it just the userneme/email addy that you register a MyEE a/c with?

Register for an EE ID seems to imply it's something on top of the email addy. It starts by saying to get an EE ID you just Create account in seemingly the normal way. But then it goes on to say:

Link your account to your EE ID

If you want to link a new EE ID to an existing account, you may need to give us some details to bring them together

Why would you need to do this when you already have a MyEE email addy?

In summary what's the diff between an EE ID & a MyEE  username/email addy? Or are they the same?

Do I already have EE IDs or do I need to do something more?

Yes, it's the same and you don't need to do anything, @XRaySpeX.

Hopefully a member of the EE team can demystify this for us all.

Hi @XRaySpeX

An EE ID is a digital ID. It allows users to set up an ID without already being a customer and allows users to link their products and orders together. Your EE ID will be your existing My EE logins.

A MyEE a/c already does all that already!

So I ask again, is an EE ID & a MyEE  username/email addy the same? Yes or No please?

Do I already have EE IDs w/out lifting a finger.
