Using EE app on mobile phone without PIN

I cannot get past this step on my RE app without setting up a PIN. I am happy with my password which I can remember but I would not remember some random number.  Is there anyway I can get round this?  At the moment I cannot use the app because of this.

I do use the website rather than the app as it won't let me open it without
setting up this PIN. As you say, there are so many scams around that
surely fingerprint access is one of the safest.

In order to see my pension I was asked to set up another app to get a
passkey but I declined that, too, and have to use OTPC to my phone which I
am happy to do.

I don't think a PIN is all that secure especially as some people are using
the same one or particularly their bank PIN. My passwords are all unique
and have meaning to me in connection with the app. As they are not
connected to myself or family I think it very unlikely anyone would be able
to discover them.

No, I will forgo the use of their app and continue to use the website,
that is if I decide to stay with EE!

That is what I have been doing - using the website, but it should be quicker to use the app.  I was offered passkey access to my pension but that meant downloading yet another app to access my pension site! No, thank you. I opted for OTPC which comes to mobile.   I know all about extra security and am very conscious of it, happily using fingerprints and OTPC in addition to my password. Only EE is being intransigent and wanting a PIN I do not want.
