I’m unable to delete items in my basket. There is no option to delete any item anywhere on the page. I click” edit and I’m immediately taken to a credit check agreement page. I want to order a phone but not the one that’s in my basket. I’ve seen previous responses from EE to others who’ve faced similar problems. None of the responses help in this instance. I’ve deleted history and cache and it’s still made no difference. How can this be fixed since it’s preventing me from placing an order for the phone I want.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@scottmcf1 strange. Usually clearing the cookies clears the basket, but if you've tried different devices and still face the same issue, you may need to contact Customer Service who have account access and will be able to check your online account or raise a ticket to clear it.
In the mean time while on the phone to them, they'll also be able to go through upgrade options and process your upgrade request too.
Let me know how you get on.

Hello @Alexandra1972,
Welcome to the EE Community
I have just tested the edit basket function and it seemed to work ok, when you hit edit basket it should come up with the pencil and trash options on the phone you have in your basket to delete so it does sound like its not functioning right for yourself.
I see you mention having cleared your history and cache, have you cleared the cookies for the EE website from your browser also? Have you tested trying to checkout on a different browser if you still have issues with the one you are using?

I have the exact same problem.
When I press edit, either on my phone or my laptop, it just takes me to phone selection. It does not let me remove anything from the basket.
It also tells me that I can't afford the monthly payments despite the payments being lower than I'm currently paying.

@scottmcf1
Are you able to try clearing your cookies and cache then head back onto the page?

I have deleted all of the browsing data from my browser on both my laptop and my phone, I have cleared the data and cache from the app on my phone and have uninstalled and reinstalled it.
I have done all of that twice.
When I log in and select upgrade, I find a phone and plan already in the basket. I cannot remove them. If I select edit, it only allows me to edit the colour etc of the phone. There is no option at all to remove it.
Even if I want the phone, the site then refuses to sell me it because despite being in the highest income bracket I can select and paying approximately what I am just now, it says I can't afford it and demands that I pay for the phone in full.
Which leads me.back to the problem of not being able to delete to start again.
