Unable to claim my Google One 2TB after upgrade even with text message link

Can I just say that the EE website and app is absolutely awful.

After struggling and failing to upgrade my phone via the app and website I finally gave up on a new phone (went to the phone company which worked out cheaper overall for the device). I managed to upgrade my plan with the Google One 2TB as a perk.

I have now struggled and failed to access this perk and continually (as seems to be the theme on all EE websites and apps) getting an error message.

Does anything actually work? The sad part is that I really love this network but what is up with the crappy website/app services.

how do I claim my perk?

Hi @MrsAstreaus.

Further to what @Chris_B has mentioned above, can you try to turn WiFi off and try to connect over mobile data?

If that still doesn't work, are you able to try another device?

Hi @MrsAstreaus

Welcome to our community.

I'm sorry you are having trouble activating this, I'd love to help if I can. Just so I can get a better understanding of where it's gone wrong, can you tell me, The text you received, was it asking you to go to https://www.ee.co.uk/googleone to activate it? What happened on that page, was there an error message?

Lesley

This has happened every time I have tried to activate this.

Hi,

Yes, I have tried via this link (from Text Message) in Chrome and Safari and I enter my number and the one time pin and then get an error. This has happened every time I have tried to activate this.

Hi @Juno69

What is happening when you try to follow the link with WiFi off or with another browser or device?

Michael

Thank you so much!

I turned off my WiFi and it worked straight away!

@Michael_D has provided the solution.

Turn off your WiFi and try the link and mine worked straight away.
