Strange number in the EE app

Why all of a sudden am I seeing two phone numbers in my app immediately after logging in with a heading / prompt of “Choose a device?

I’ve had the same number for close to 30 years, and I do not recognise the second number. I have had the app for at least four years, and this is the first time that I have seen this second number. I only have one device, my iPhone, on a PAYG monthly subscription that requires a SIM card.

What gives?

Could this be the number of the SIM card that was posted out to me before porting over my old T-Mobile number?
If so… why the heck am I only seeing it now after many years?

Noticed a similar thing with my app from time to time, i think it's just previous numbers that were on the account such as those assigned before porting or other cancelled numbers.

Purely a visual bug, as clicking them just gives errors as they're not existing products.

You could remove the unwanted no. from your online MyEE under Home > Plans & Subs > Manage Nos. > Remove & Confirm.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

If I try to manage subscriptions or plans in the app or when logged into the main EE website on my Mac mini desktop computer, none of these options are available to me and I am constantly being directed to purchase new stuff.

Both the app and website are extremely janky.
EE is owned by BT and today is worth £16.63 billion. Lmao

It's just a visual bug that must come from the backend number management system getting confused about which are active and what to show, nothing to be worried about.

I come upon it quite often but closing my app and reopening it seems to make it go away.
