With the EE app.
This is because there may be a problem with the configuration of your device.
Here is the thing, freshly installed Oxygen OS, every other app works.
Do you think the problem is my device or the app?
Whoever coded the app perhaps needs to print the actual error instead of the vague warning, but I welcome any advice to get it working that doesnt involve changing phones.

@chrcolk So you’ve got a Oneplus device with Oneplus configured android on it. EE can not test every version of android. The app works fine on a Samsung Android device and it does state with the error message the configuration of your device. The EE app has an issue with the device OS and how that’s been set up by Oneplus.

@chrcolk , just to add, you can also log-in to your account via the website if the app is not working.

"The configuration of your device" is very vague and can mean all sorts of things, so in quick terms it tells me nothing.
EE dont need to test the app either, android is android. How does it working fine on a samsung device help me, and what if I dont want to use my ee over the website on my phone and want to use the app.
For reference the app was working before, but then it said I had to do a critical update and this problem appeared on the latest version.

@chrcolk Oh but it’s not. Oneplus tweak Android for their devices why do you think it doesn’t look like Android on a Samsung device ? It’s more than just the GUI change. Its not stock android you’ll only get that on Google devices as that’s what is actually designed for.
The error message just means that the app isn’t liking something with that version of Android hence it says it the configuration of that device.
