I am also having the same issue. Unforunately I can't phone them as my screen has smashed. I am trying to use my laptop to ugrade my phone 😣

Can you try going logging into your My EE online, and select Plans and Subscriptions > select your mobile plan > Manage numbers.
Can you update your number to bill payer?
