Phone number not linking to EE account

Hi. I decided to join EE and get a pay as you go SIM card and after putting it into my phone, I can't link it to my EE account. It just keeps saying to try again later. Tried again later and still nothing. Might I be doing something wrong? Thanks:)

I have the same problem. Its not letting me link my phone device to my ee account.

Is SIM card pay as you go or pay monthly?

Yes I have an existing EE account. Since the 3G network is being switched off i purchased a new sim card - pay as you go.
