Linking number to EE account

Just put my new EE sim in and filled in the online number transfer form

i want to link my sim to my EE account so I can manage my rolling monthly contract

Do I need to wait until the number transfer is done to do this ?

If you provided your PAC after 5pm today, it'll be submitted tomorrow Thursday 20th and your number ported in Friday 21st.

I would personally wait until the port-in is complete before registering for online self-service. It may well work now, but anything that could complicate and is easily avoided, is probably best avoided..
