Free 30 day data for Birthday

Ive had a text message from EE saying i have been given 30days free data for my birthday, and to text yes to 1216 to accept, i never ever reply to text messages, but i didnt think and ive messaged the 1216, ive had no further messages and now im worried i may have fallen for a scam, is this genuine or not

Hi mate, I would contact EE first thing as never heard of that it’s always 150 u contact but I would take any cards of phone ie payments u so instead of getting card out just take them off to cover yourself bud

is this a valid promo? i have also just sent the text, and then realised it might have been a scam. is it a scam? who have I given access to my data?

Did you get a text back to confirm the data has been added? 

You can also check within your My EE app within add-ons to see if this is showing for you 🙂
