EE "Service status in your area" never works for me

Every now and then I receive text messages from EE stating that there is a problem in my area, there is a link to the service status checker to look for updates (ee.co.uk/help/service-status). I have tried this service on numerous occasions and have never had any other results than: -

Mobile - We can't check our network right now
Broadband - We can’t check your broadband status

It seems like a total wast of space and time to me, has anyone used this service and got it to work?

Hello @RhidianD ,

Welcome to the community,

The service status area will notify anyone in you area, who has registered with it, when there may be a problem, but does not mean you have a problem. If everything is working ok, then just ignore it, but if you are having problems and the problem does not seem to sort itself out, then ring customer services and speak to them about it. I get them and do not have a problem, but once fixed am advised to reboot the device if need be. They cannot know who it affects, but such is life, that someone has a problem, and they need to sort it out, and if you are one that is connected to that mast, then nice to know if you have a problem.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Hi Shockwave.

My comment was more about the service checker not working rather than the actual service

Thanks anyway

Hi @RhidianD

I have never had any issues. Are you using a VPN or tried another browser.

Thanks
