Customer service rude and liars.

I left EE for broadband after 15 years because they jacked up the prices and wouldn't give me a deal, 

I just called to discuss my mobile plan, after refusing to give me income to some phone jockey , I was told EE don't sell phones, I wanted to buy a phone outright not take out third party finance from Glow.

Told we don't sell phones ( they do ) obviously being pushed to sell loans .

The EE sim only deals are ridiculously over priced now, so I think I'll get a new pixel directly from Google as they offer a student discount and I'll start shopping around for a SIM.

Since BT fully took over this company has gone down , 10- 20mins wait on hold to speak to an agent who is high pressure selling loans and unable to help , no loyalty discounts etc

I was told out right you don't sell phones , check the call logs , I called to ask to complain about the guy and said play the call back, the guy told me complaints are all bu web form now .  As I say you have replaced all the great staff you had with snake oil dealers .

Why would I buy a handset from you when Google sell it for the same or less ? For a better SIM deal ?  You are the most expensive network and I have lost confidence you could fix a problem of it occured as the wait times are now so long even for sales

TBH your post is not making sense. Where does Glow come into it? EE flexpay is financed by EE direct. Also over the phone they probably don't sell phones outright

@Superusernick , if you look at shop, you can buy the phone outright if you so wish, and then get a sim only contract, EE has never claimed to be the cheapest, but check what you get with it, in comparison to other networks, it is up to you to check and also make sure that where you are, you will get good network connections, which some do and some do not, also, all customer service staff are in the UK, unlike some other networks. I personally have never had a problem and when I needed to speak to them, they were always very helpful.

The EE pushy sales agent was trying to credit check me for a loan with glow the fiance company who EE take the loan with for you, I didn't want a loan, told him my income was my business and I wanted to buy the phone outright.

That's when the agent lied and said we don't sell phones any more just loans. Probably have to pay for their fancy office on cobalt business park .

But honestly time to leave EE all they just aren't worth the additional costs and they run hard credit checks which hit hour rating

It's not a discussion about do EE sell handsets it's why do EE sales people lie about it and try to push loans from glow ?

@Superusernick  You can purchase a PAYG phone outright through customer support and that’s all.  The link provided above is the EE store this is to purchase a device outright without a contract and you can only do this via going to the EE online store not through customer support so no you can not purchase outright via customer support unless it’s a PAYG device.     It’s two different purchasing areas and customer support can not help unless it’s a contract or a PAYG device. 

No one lied you just don’t understand the difference.
