Can't link EE pay go SIM to EE account

I have received a pay as you go sim card by post. When I select to link it to my existing EE account online, it says there is an error linking and to try again later. When I try later, I get the same error. 

The pay as you go sim card is showing signal and can make calls etc.

Is your SIM a contract SIM?

What error are you seeing?

It's a monthly contract SIM.

The error is can't link to a device.  I've tried several times over a few weeks.

I would recommend giving us a call on 150 so our customer care team can try manually link your number to your account @Sofie4

Please let me know how you get on.

Hi Katie,

I'm having the same issue.

Brand new Pay as You Go and brand new EE account buy they will not link together.

What can i do to fix the issue.

Hi, i tried to call them twice but they cut me off both times and i don't have time to call them again, i was hoping this could be sorted out quickly but i guess not
