Can't get past the third stage to register my number on My ee

Hi

Just changed over from Plusnet. New sim works fine. Trouble on My EE though. After many attempts, 1,Register is ticked, 2,Verify is ticked, but it fails on 3, link. I enter my number but after a few seconds in red it says : '' Sorry, you can only associate a number for an EE consumer or small business plan''. It's left me stumped.

Help would be much appreciated

Thanks for coming here. 

Have you tried to register using the temporary EE number or the PlusNet number? 

Has the PlusNet number transferred to the EE SIM?

Hi Leanne

The number was transferred before I received the sim today. It was a case of popping the new one in and it worked straight away. I might have complicated things though by trying to set ithingd up on My EE yesterday, before the sim was active this morning.

I called 150, received a text for a call back... But the number they  quoted wasn't my transferred number.. I guess it was the original sim number. I texted them back to say it wasn't my number and gave them my 'real' number... 

This is getting surreal!

Hi @MNIM 

If you can give us another call on 150, option 2 > option 1 > option 2 > option 1 > option 1 > option 3 > continue to hold after the message stating a text has been sent then press option 9.  

Our mobile care team will be able to get this looked into for you.

I DID get the call. It's been sorted. Apparently I WAS on a temporary number. I only wish I knew that in the first place It would have saved a lot of time.! 

I will  get my old plusnet number on Tuesday.
