It used to be that if I had run out of data, I could still open the EE app and website without WiFi. This is not the case anymore. You cannot buy an add-on without either data or Wi-Fi. But… my main reason for buying add-ons is because I have run out of data and have no Wi-Fi!!
This makes for a pretty dangerous situation where you can run out of data with no way to get more even if you really need it. My sister is currently having this issue and needs to get a bus to go to a national level sports competition but can’t because her bus ticket is online and Apple Pay requires data. I have also missed buses because of this. I can imagine potentially much worse situations.
EE also lose out from this because you miss out on the only situation where I give you extra money, unless I preempt running out.
For a time I could work around the problem by buying add-on via messaging 150, but this no longer works.
Me and my sister are both on the discontinued £1 weekly data pack.

Do I need to write down the URL somewhere or is there a way to access it from the app/150?

Hi @Khai,
If you're out of data, just open your web browser and you'll automatically be redirected to the add-on page.

I’m certain I have opened Safari when I have had no data and I have never been redirected to that page. I can’t check that though until I next run out of data.
