Hi, im after some advice if possible
I had a strange call this morning from a landline number saying they were EE asking about my SIM card update, i told them i had not requested an update, they said it was for security issues. I ended the call and then got an email from no-reply@info.ee.co.uk saying i needed to reset my password.
I called 150 and an EE guide called me back form 0800 956 5062. He sent me a text with a PIN to my account and asked me to confirm this number and then checked my account and said everything was fine and this was a scam. What was strange is he said that the email i had would have been part of the scam.
Ive since tried logging into my EE account and it said i had to change my password which i did, after this i got an email confirming this from the same email address i was told was a scam? Im just confused, im worried ive been possibly hacked and im not sure how to proceed?
Does anyone know if the 0800 number and the email address are legit?
