I remember when I could sort my roaming requirements in 2 mins by calling 150 and talking to someone !

After an hour trying to work it out on the website and getting moved all over I am hoping someone here can help me.

I am going to europe and cannot see anywhere how to specify my dates and enable roaming.  Any help appreciated.

The ability to roam - i.e. your SIM having permissions to use foreign networks - is free of charge, doesn't cost anything and thus once enabled, is never disabled unless you explicitly request it. And there's no reason to do so.

Text ROAMING to 150 from the UK if you're at all unsure.

If you're within the EU and don't have any add-ons that allow for inclusive roaming, then you can choose to either pay £2.47/day or £15/week, to use your UK allowances. Follow the options on https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs

You don't specify dates. You may buy roaming passes when you are there, a week at a time.

You may use your usual UK allowances in the EU with up to 50 GB (contract) or 25 GB (PAYG) data per billing month if you have more. If on contract & your contract started after 07/07/2021 there'll be a £2.47 / day charge for using your UK allowances in EU unless you already have the Roam Abroad Pass for £25 / month or already have it as an Inclusive Extra. Alternatively you may buy the 7-day EU Pass for £15.

To use your pack allowances in the EU on PAYG there are roaming charges of either £2.50 / day, by having texted ROAMEU1D to 150, or £10 / week, by having texted ROAMEU7D to 150, to be taken only from your PAYG credit, not your recurring card payment. You will receive a msg upon arrival telling you about these charges for roaming in EU & inviting to take up these options. If you opt to reply neither or you don't have an active pack, you will be paying standard rates for calls & texts & will need to buy a PAYG add-on for data.

If you are on contract, just remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure the roaming ability is enabled on your account.

If you are on PAYG, just make sure you had already used your PAYG SIM to make a call or text in the UK.
