Data roaming usa

I recently travelled to Orlando so I took out the roaming pass for my daughter and I beforehand. Whist away EE, even though I received the txt upon landing that our data roaming passes were active, were still charging me the FULL price for calls and txts. I spent over 2 hours on the phone to EE, being passed from one person to another to eventually be told that EE have had a fault  with the USA roaming pass and they were working hard to fix it. I was told beforehand lots of incorrect information and one alarming so called manager said  I had to pay the bill or it would affect my credit score! Eventually I spoke to someone in executive complaints or something who told me to cancel the direct debit then sort out once home but it will probably have sorted itself out by then. Well surprise surprise it has not! I didn’t actually cancel the DD just moved it to Nov 3rd as I was frightened that they would indeed mark my file as a non payer!! . So now they have added even more charges onto the already ridiculous bill! So heres  my question, what do I do now? I am sick and tired of calling up to be passed from person to person that have no idea what’s going on and be told incorrect  information. I was offered £50 altogether in compensation for near ruining my holiday (we were in a hurricane and I needed to call home to assure family we were ok and EE cut my phone off mid conversation with my mum and frightened her thinking the worst as the spend cap I had added to my account on recommendation from one of the several EE agents had ran out!!) how can a phone company be so bad? Whilst on hold with EE I was listening to the recorded message saying they were voted the BEST network provider? Well in my opinion EE are truly the very worst! I just need someone who knows what they are doing to tell me the correct amount I owe. I have roughly worked it out and it’s £150 less than what they are demanding. This is the final straw for me and I  will be cancelling as soon as the contracts are up. This has been extremely stressful for me whilst on my holiday. Any advice on what to do moving forward would be greatly appreciated.
