Please note when you transfer to EE. using broadband connection. Local area telephone numbers have to include the area code before the actual telephone number you require. Ensure you check your phones internal storage of numbers.
Not necessary with BT.

@Josephbland You would have been the same on BT had you changed to Digital Voice or any other VOIP system.
It has also been that way for many people as exchanges expanded to include more and more subscribers.

I originally had a DTMF fibre 2 package with BT. all local calls could be dialled direct without using area codes.
With EE the area codes have to be used for local codes using broadband connection, as you indicated out correctly, my point was a reminder covering the phone storage facility of contacts logged originally with BT on your phone which have to be altered.
Kind regards
Joe.

Thanks @Josephbland that is a good point.

- Thinking of switching to an altnet ISP and transferring phone to a VOIP service in Broadband & Landline
- BT_Paragon 650 Caller Display with Digital Voice in Broadband & Landline
- EE doesn't get contact number right in Mobile Broadband
- A very shaky EE that is making me ill in Security
- HOME PHONE (LANDLINE) in Digital Home Phone
