I have a BT4600 Advanced Call Blocker answerphone which has served me well when it was connected via a landline. I am not getting the same level of satisfaction now that I have plugged it into my broadband router, principally because the messaging facility is different and not as convenient.
When using the landline I was able to receive an audible and visual message on the base unit telling me that I had a message(s) waiting to be accessed. This very convenient facility does not appear to exist with the set connected to the router. Please advise onhoww I may get audible and visual notificatin of new messages as previously.
Also, regarding picking up messages from a mobile I dont understand where I can find option 3 on the Voice Message menu. In fact where is the Voice Message menu on either the base unit or the handset?

@bernwend The Home Phone help guide, see if that helps. Should have no effect on your answering system just make sure that answers by adjusting the pick up of the DV Voicemail to the max, and let your system do the recording as before.

It's when you dial 1571. You can't stop 1571 but you can lengthen the time it takes before it it picks up the call so your own phone can grab it 1st. It's under Personal Options > Calling Options.
