Unable to change ringtone on handsets.

 Received 3  new HD handsets from EE to replace my old phones. Set up and synced the phones to my smart hub and annoyingly  I can only change the ringtone on handset 1, the other 2 phones keep showing “Error, not currently available.” Even when I attempt to change the ringtone on handset 1 it still defaults to the same ringtone. I’m not sure why this is, any HELP would be gratefully appreciated..👍

Which phones did you receive?

Not sure why you cannot change ringtones on two of your phones, not heard that one before, it should be easy to change the ringtones, just by choosing one. I have different ones for different people as well as one for anyone else who rings.

Have you tried doing this without being on wifi, not sure whether that would make any difference, but worth a try?

The  phones I was sent was the EE Digital Home Phone HD essentials.

I’ve never encountered this problem before with any other phones that I’ve ever had.

Disabling Wi-Fi makes no difference.

I don’t really understand how changing the ringtones only works on handset 1.

Hope someone can come up with an answer soon.

@24117773 ,sorry, so not mobile phones then? Home phones HD, sorry no idea, maybe someone else can find an answer.

@24117773 Have linked a video below, but not sure if the EE Software overrides settings, you can only try and report. See if anything works.

Thanks for your suggestion,  I’ve already watched that particular video but unfortunately after still pressing the sounds option it always comes up with.  “Error, not currently available.”

I have since been going through this forum and it appears that I’m not the only one having this problem, there’s a post from a couple of weeks ago who have been experiencing the same problem, it must be a EE software issue somewhere along the line that needs to be addressed ASAP.

@24117773 I also had a look on the BT forum, and it would appear that no one has it working there also, so its hard to say whether it will ever work for more than one handset.

You are lucky, we've got 4 BT Digital handsets and can't get the ringtones chaged on any of them. It doesn't say "not available"  like yours just accepts the change like it did on the BT hub and we had that for 3 years so EE seems to have gone for a cheaper downteched hub.

Was this ever resolved? I moved from BT to EE and kept the same digital phones and now I can no longer change the ringtone. Would love to pick a nicer one but just keeps saying currently unavailable

@Neil8568 Far as i am aware you no longer have the option to change it.
