Hi,
I am new to forum.
Just joined EE today, from another supplier, have new router with cables and home phone adaptor.
Transfer and set up so far very clean, and straight forward, apart from not receiving phone calls. Am I supposed to do anything?
All phones were working fine with other landline supplier, but those that now try to ring me get dial tone , but don't get through.
Aqua light on router, green on home phone adaptor. Steady light, no flashing.
Any thoughts?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@alan2012c Your DV phone system should now be starting to bed in, @Leanne_T posted a helpful link to the digital phone connection and use, just takes a little time for the system to all gel together, incoming & outgoing calls if now starting to work as you expect, you are in the correct area for anything else you need, the search may be able to through up a previous posting help. Switch over from previous ISP's or even older landline tech are just not instant.👌

Hi @alan2012c
Thanks for coming to the community and for joining EE great to have you with us 🙂
Can you make calls from the landline?
Our Unable to Make or Take Landline Calls with Digital Home Phone page, has helpful advice for you to try if you are unable to receive calls. Could you try these and let me know how you get on?
Leanne.

HI,
I have had exactly same issue today with new hub etc.
Solved it by plugging directly into hub, now 1 and 2 work.
But i have a small problem in that there was a splitter dividing phone line into two, have to see if this will fit.
As a matter of interest, has this issue been resolved, so that i / we can use phone adaptor?

@alan2012c There has been no reported change of the adapter working or at least no one who has the condition has reported that they have no problems with it, change of adapter, new style, FW updates for the adapter all etc still have to plug into the back of the router, if you wish to go further with it and direct above your post @Peter_W has linked technical team just click on it and go from there. Post back though if you do have any success, this has been posted many times in the Digital Home Phone section with ZERO resolve as yet. Because your posting is in the BB section some may not see it or respond.
At least you know how to quickly check it now.👍

Re: Landline keypad response does not registe
Hello @Peter_W,
I am new to the community, I hope this post is what @JimM11 had in mind.
I added a post on 14th Nov asking if this old post was resolved. JimM11 suggested I contact you for an answer. It's a feature that even my doctor's surgery automated system needs!
Hope you can help.
Alan
PS
So the use of router port does fix problem. Also by plugging in to router I think I am losing some quality of speech.

Hi @alan2012c,
Welcome to the EE Community
It looks like your post got moved from the original thread, but I think the post @JimM11 was referring to was this one from @Peter_W on the original thread Solved: Re: Landline keypad response does not registe - Page 2 - The EE Community where he provides a link for how to contact our technical team.
As with this issue it will be best to speak directly with them to look further into the dialtone issue whilst using the DV adaptor. They can also have a look into the speech issue you have mentioned.
