Smart Divert with Digital Voice

I have been converted to Digital Voice (against my will).
How do I do call diversion (smart divert) from my landline remotely?
I assume that in this day and age I can do this via the app but I can't seem to find it.

I work from home and in the event of a power cut, I would need to be able to divert the phone.
I also have need to change or put on a divert, when away from home.  Hence, remotely.

Hi @LesleyJ2, welcome to the EE Community!

This may differ depending on the model of handset you're using, but we definitely offer the option to set up diverts via our digital home phone handsets.

There's a help article here that gives a breakdown of what to do 😊

Alternatively, if you're in an area that's prone to power cuts, we do offer a battery backup service to help keep your service connected.

These are available to purchase outright from the EE Store, or if you get in touch with our team and explain your circumstances, they may be able to look into if this is something we can provide too.

I know how to divert from my handset but if I am in Italy for instance, that could be tricky.

@LesleyJ2 Just to confirm, it is not possible to setup a call divert remotely, it does have to be from the handset itself. Either in the handset menu or via the dial codes for phones that don't have the menu option.

@LesleyJ2 @Alex_H Just to be clear. Does the diversion take place at "the exchange" or at the EE hub? I suspect the latter, in which case if a there is a power cut the hub will be down and no diversion would be possible regardless of you setting up call diversion !
