Why have I recd a Homephone today? I am on digital voice using 3 handsets currently. What do I need to do with these and the new handshake?

@TerryC3 : With DV you plug your analogue phones into the Phone socket at back of router or into an ATA adapter plugged into a main socket remote from router.
Are you saying you have also received a digital Home Phone handset? If so, you pair it with the router over DECT using controls on the handset itself.

@TerryC3 You asked this yesterday, if you were not expecting it then just put it aside, some are being sent new home phones, elderly neighbour across from me has got one recently pre the PSTN switch off, but the Alarm Pendant side she needs to sort out as it's still the old analogue version...
Have had the chat with her, but at 86 years young, need to get her daughter to do all the dealings for everything. Time is running out end Jan2027 not that far away.
If you have a fully working landline phone connection just now, cannot think why, but give EE a call, dial 150 from your landline they may have an explanation for you.

@TerryC3 Did you see the answer above?
Have you called EE CS to find out why they have sent you the phone. Your Current 3 handset's are they fully digital and work with the Mains power off, the new one would if the Modem/ONT if you have are all battery backed up.
If your current setup is working then NO there is no need to use it apart from a power failure situation. If you need then power it up, charge it up and then connect it to the EE Hub you have, linked the post to watch the video if you need.
