Have moved from BT to EE for my broadband, my digital home phone want ring for incoming calls. I can call out but not in.
EE today sent me a link to advise on setting up my digital home phone. I’d already seen this, but this time I noticed a short paragraph saying that if my phone had been made before 2015 it might need a microfilter. It was purchased in 2016 but for all I know it might have been an old design: The EE connection team are trying to progress a solution, but I wonder if this might be a solution. I’ve not been able to talk to them since as conversations/texts only seem to be one way. Might a mircofilter work? If so, how do I get one to try?

@Mike_firth Did you not get one, with your router in the box, have an old one lying about some where, would look there first. If not post back and will show link to what the look like, and if you already know what they are, then amazon, possibly curry's, maybe the BT/EE shop etc, and they have been known to help older phones ring.
Also not sure where you are plugging the phone into if DVA remote adapter, you can also try the back off the router...
And you may wish to say when this change over took place, In and Out are separate parts, so one may be done and the other still progressing. If digital display on the phone, may say incoming call but ringer not doing anything...

It didn’t come with a filter, Jim, nor was there one already in my BT system. According to EE’s instructions, with a double socket wall box, I don’t need it. EE say that they’ve got engineers looking into the issue, but today I can call out, but when I call the ‘landline’/home fone from my mobile, not only does it not ring, but doesn’t even seem to try to call the number (a change in the wrong direction from when I posted on the forum)😢 Will give EE a couple of days more, and then try again.
Thanks for the reply

Yes, when you have a filtered main phone socket with BB & phone sockets you don't need a DSL filter as it's already filtered but the suggestion was to try a DSL filter in the phone socket of the router to see it would help with your DV issues.

@Mike_firth Sorry missed you reply, as @XRaySpeX Mentioned below the old DSL filter changes how the ringer works and if plugged in first to the back of the router then the landline phone plugged into the filter may make that phone ringer work, its jus all down to the types of phones. Post above does show you the type.👍

- Battery Backup for WIfi 7 Router in Broadband & Landline
- Home Phone Adapter flashing red - Will not connect to homehub2 in Broadband & Landline
- Paying for broadband but no installation and contact on agreed date in Broadband & Landline
- Ringer volume on home phone in Digital Home Phone
- Home hub plus missing in Broadband & Landline
