Hello all
I was recently advised to do a Factory Reset on my Hub to Fix an Issue with my Broadband Connection.
Doing so Fixed the Broadband Issue, Download Speeds of 0.4Mbps, however, it also Deleted all of my Port Forwarding Rules, but more importantly, it Deleted all of the Contacts in my Advanced Digital Phone.
Is there a way to Backup the Contacts on the Advanced Digital Phone so that this Issue can be averted in the Future?
If there is no way to do this then the Feature really needs to be implemented, quick.
I now have to spend Time on re-adding the Contacts which is going to take awhile.
Thanks in advance
Kevin

@Kncowans That's what factory reset does, set's it all back to out of box state, then you have to do it all again. There is no backup feature for anything DV or Router settings, nothing is stored on the phone, it is all in the router. If you had a previous router using DV, and you still have it then you may find the contacts on it, EE can import the contacts, but there is no way to export them. Everything for the router has to be redone.
What router do you have?

Hello
Thanks for the Reply.
I have the EE HUB Plus.
I understand what the Factory Reset does, it is more of an issue with there being no way to Backup Settings, Contacts etc.
In the Digital Age you would think that a Backup Feature would be an essential.
Thanks
Kevin

@Kncowans You are correct, and 99% of the people probably don't even give it a thought or even care about it, the EE ISP is the best in that respect, 100% company orientated, and the least likely to produce errors from miss management by user's, if its not there then you cannot break it, i have already refused twice now the EE CS request to do a factory reset, it's not the router that causes the problem.
