Hi Jim

It is a new system. Batteries ok, fully charged, but think I have found what the problem is. It is the 1571 messaging service I think. The answerphone wasn't recording for some reason so the messaging service kicked in.

Away at the moment so can't check until home. Thank you for trying.

There has never been an Export Contacts either in the router's GUI or the EE app.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP
So why is it telling me in the help section that there is?

Sorry, I seem to have got that wrong 😞 .Yes, both Export & Import are described in the Help doc., but I seem to remember that peeps on here saying they couldn't Export but instead had to construct contacts by hand in order to Import them.

Not good then is it in this day and age. Especially if you have a lot of contacts, and if you change your hub.

Because they are on the hub, If I pick reset on the base unit my contacts should still be there. Is this correct please.

@GTech5x No, there is no Export from the EE router for contacts, never has been but EE are aware of it, also there is NO router back up/restore facility also.

And to make it worse, DO NOT Factory reset the router, if you do so you will lose ALL the contacts that you added, and any other adjustments that you have made to the Router, it is just not good....

It is the phone base unit I was going to reset, not the the hub.

When picking up the landline I get a  beeping sound of a answer phone message but there isn't one. Wanted to try a reset on the base unit to see if it would eliminate it. I am assuming that my contacts are on the Ee Smarthub.
