Digital voice £5 pay as you go service

Hi all,

I have got the digital voice pay as you go service and I wanted to bar outgoing calls except emergency calls. Can I do this without having the special digital voice phone please as I have my old cordless phone plugged in the back of the router and it's not letting me do it?

Hi,

I have been in touch with customer service and it looks like you can do it if you have the digital voice handsets, you then input different codes to block certain types of calls. These codes do not work if you have your old phones plugged in to the back of the router like I do, you get the message 'sorry the service you wish to control is not available from your line'. The digital voice phones are discontinued and out of stock in the EE shop and elsewhere online they are being sold with the note that they will only work on the smart hub 2 which I don't have.

You can only bar outgoing calls from the special EE Digital Home Phone handsets. You may bar some incoming calls with an ordinary handset. See Call Barring on Digital Home Phone & Using Call Protect

@Gaz936 All off the digital phones should work on any off the following routers, BT Smarthub2, EE Smarthub (2023), EE Smarthub+ and the EE Smarthub Pro, they all have the same DECT Digital control.
