Digital Voice issues

Hi

Recently migrated from another isp for my fttp 500mb with digital Voice.

Fttp is working great, but having issues with maintaining digital Voice.

After a couple of weeks faffing, I got it sorted (registering phone etc) at it was ok, but this week callers can't hear me, nor can I hear them.... The phone rings and there is a dial tone.....

Any ideas guys?

Thanks

@Roger84 Can you not test this yourself, you possibly have the best combination of devices now, EE or BT branded set's.

Register set, take away until it is out of range, then try the working phone few times to see if any error's, leave out of range device in out of range 24hrs also to see if anything crops up....

@Roger84 When I've had the issue I've checked the Hub Manager and there was no problem. The issue is with the Smart Hub Plus and/or firmware.  I had DV with the BT SH2 Hub for 4 years and never had an issue, since moving to EE and the Smart Hub Plus I've had the no voice problem on two occasions within 3 months. As a reboot fixes it in the short term, it seems clear to me where the issue is.

Also, the BT SH2 used to restart itself every two weeks without fail, the EE Smart Hub Plus doesn't appear to do that, this may explain why DV works faultlessly with one hub but not the other.

@Andy_65 ? did the router from BT have this feature to auto reset every 2 weeks!

@JimM11 I think it was often mentioned over on the BT Community, it did it for me without fail, always in the early hours.

The first time I had the no voice issue with EE I checked the hub and it had been up for around 35 days, I never went past 14 days with the SH2 (I checked!). From what I can remember no-one seemed to know why the SH2 restarted but it was reliable.

@Andy_65 Thanks for getting back, do understand what you are saying, but would really hope that it was not true, but you never know, there is no reason that the DV system should not stay up and work forever, been a few suggestions that the EE router is getting bogged down after time (without a reset, so i am keeping one eye on mine at present, up 32 days so far and still pretty responsive), now not using DV at all, but for years have been checking and BT was always 100% no matter what for DV operation. Now you've put the cat amongst the pigeons so to say>>> but thanks for honest opinion will go scour BT forum now.

@JimM11 I'm sure one of the Sages used to say that their SH2 didn't auto reboot but it seemed to for everyone else who posted.

New hub delivered and connected, ee have remotely configured it for digital voice and working again. Fingers crossed, lets see how long it works. Will keep the forum updated in a week or so
