Digital Phone Adaptor

I have been transferred from BT onto a new E.E. 24 month broadband and landline contract.

Up until now I have been using a BT Halo Home Hub.

E.E. have sent me a Home Phone Adaptor V2, but not a new E.E. Home Hub.

I finally managed to speak to a lady on the phone about this. She told me that I simply continue with my Halo and the E.E. Home Phone Adaptor V2 would work perfectly OK with the Halo. Is this correct please?

@graplant But you can still call even though you hear no dial tone on the digital type phone?

Yes of course you can still call, it's just a bit weird. Tried to pair the adapter with the router again just now. Just a foot away. Hopeless  in spite of following the instructions to the letter. Adapter flashes yellow/blue for a short whilst and then goes to red. Have to give up the thought of using  my old landline phone. I was talking to our son on one of the other phones  a couple of hours ago and as I moved around the conversation kept fading and I had to ask him to repeat himself.  Why did I sign up for this??? I know landlines are being phased out starting this year  but I could have a had a few more month without the aggro.

@graplant There may be possible to use all of the existing wiring in the home, connect the phones back and be as you were.

How many devices do you have on the router, there is a limit of 5 total to the dect side.

What your Digital Voice
Adapter light means
1 On initial plug in – flashes 0.5 seconds on,
2 seconds off
2 During registration – flashes quickly
0.5 seconds on, 0.5 seconds off
3 Once registered – stays solid green
4 During a call – flashes slowly 1 second on,
1 second off
5 Once registered, if there’s a connection
problem with your broadband – flashes
0.5 seconds on and 2 seconds off.
Maximum Digital
Voice devices
You can register a maximum of 5 Digital Voice
devices (that includes Digital Voice Handsets
or Digital Voice Adapters) to your new Hub at
one time
