I am shortly moving house and switching from Plusnet to EE. I want to keep a landline. Currently I have a BT8600 answer machine/base station with two wireless connected extension phones. As I have been having technical problems recently - a handset rings, but one can't answer and have to try another handset - I should like to switch to a new system. I looked on the EE website and found "BT Premium Phone Two Handsets" [I need only two handsets in my new place] which looks the sort of kit I need. But what I can't see in the product details are:
1. will it work with digital phone connection?
2. does it definitely have an answer machine/voice mail? [Other products do say 'no answer machine' but I'd like to see something positive.]
3. when I have a message waiting does the phone bleep/flash clearly so I know that I have a message and can press one button to hear the message(s), i.e. I don't have to dial something, e..g. 901 to get my messages?
This information is not on the website. I even rang EE Sales and the person who answered did not know, he just surmised his answers by looking at the same (lack of) information that I look at on the web site. Very frustrating and I've spent over 30 mins getting nowhere.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Have a look at it on Argos: BT Premium Cordless Telephone & Answering Machine - Twin
It does say on the EE Site "Recording Capacity 60 mins".
