Hello,
I returned my phone via special delivery and it arrived at the BT Supply Chain signed for on 25th September. I was told to do this by EE as I have emigrated China, which gets me out of my contract. I contacted EE again on this date making sure my account will be fine, and all notes on account were fine. They assured me they were. I asked about if I need to pay upcoming bill as they are a month in advance, I was told to cancel any direct debits and it would be fine.
I am unable to call customer service to verify everything has gone smoothly due to excessive call rates from China. I see an outstanding bill amount on my account from the bill I was told to ignore, can I please have assurance or a way to contact EE via chat to make sure everything is ok and to have my SIM cancelled (I lost my SIM while traveling after replacing it with China Mobile)
Kind regards,
Thanks for any help, I want to make sure I left the account in good standing

Emigrating does not get you out of any contract. You still have to cancel it & pay any early termination fees due.
Similarly cancelling your DD does not absolve you from paying & might lead to being chased by debt collectors.

I was told by 3-4 different EE staff prior to emigrating that all I had to do was send back my Google Pixel 7. They were aware of my account and said it is something they have approved, it isn't the default offering.
They looked over my account and said everything was fine.
