out of contract but wish to stay

im out of contract now, but don't want an upgrade, I want to stay with EE but need a better monthly deal to bring monthly cost down. Is Sim only the way to go?

Simple answer - yes.

Sim only is a great option if you're happy to keep your current phone, but you'd like a new deal.
