iPhone Full Works sim-only Confusion / Removed

Hoping someone can clear up something up for me, the EE website is confusing at best! I did try to message EE, but the wait time was 2 hours and 50 mins (ridiculous) Long waits on the phone as well.

I am nearing the end of my 24 month sim-only plan, a couple of months left. My app says I can "upgrade" with no fee, so wanted to take advantage of some of the 12 month half price black Friday deals - specifically the Full Works plan as it suits me for roaming too.

Annoying the iPhoen plan doesn't seem to offer Netflix as a free add-on, is there actually any difference with the plan functionality? (I use iPhone) you aren't asked what device you are using so it appears you can pick any, this in itself would cause confusion perhaps, and have people picking incorrect tariff's.

Further, when looking as a new customer (not logged in) the Full Works for iPhone is not even available to select, only the default Full Works. Please can someone shed some light on this?

Finally when upgrading online it asks for delivery details etc, I would assume I don't need a new SIM as mine is only a couple of years old anyway. I don't want service to stop whilst waiting for a sim to arrive, that I don't need!

Thank you.

Just on this point, changing a price-plan doesn't necessitate a replacement SIM unless yours isn't working.

@bristolian thank you, yes I thought as much. I just find it odd that the order process doesn't reflect that you are an upgrading customer and not a new customer, whilst highlighting the process correctly. Nothing about it inspires confidence at all! Hopefully someone can also shed some light on the other points.

The difference between the normal Full Works and iPhone Full Works are the benefits that you can choose with each. On the iPhone Full Works you get Apple-centred benefits (Apple One) for your Inclusive Extra, whereas the Full Works standard has a much better range in my opinion (Netflix Premium, Google One AI Premium 2TB, TNT Sports or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) and I personally use the Netflix Premium as it costs £18 directly with Netflix so is money saved for me.

There is no compatibility issue with using either Plan with any phone, you don't have to pick the iPhone version just because you have an iPhone. It is purely the benefits that are different.

@Matt_124 Thank you, I was concerned that there was a compatibility issues and the iPhone needed a specific tariff to function correctly. Do you currently use iPhone?

I agree, the Netflix offer is a good deal, and will save me money.

However what is also a pain, is at no point during the upgrade process do I have the option to select a benefit, all it offers is a spend cap. Why EE can't make it more intuitive is beyond me! If you need to select the benefit after upgrading, would be helpful if they just said this from the outset.

Hi,

You can choose the full works plan for Android that will be good... Also, if you have time, call 150 and use the text message to navigate to talk to customer care by call /chat and they will be able to sort it out for you.

Thank you.

No worries.

Thats strange as when I upgraded it let me choose mine, I was coming from an older All-Rounder plan though so maybe that's why.

However, you should get a text when your upgrade goes live to be able to pick your extra and it would appear in the addons section of the App if you don't get any texts.

I had an iPhone but recently switched away to Android for a bit, always chose the non-iPhone plan regardless of which phone I had in the past. Didn't see the value in the Apple services when I used so few of them.

You may need to call to add your inclusive extra if it is telling you you're not on an eligible plan - it did this to me.

You may require a new SIM to use 5G Standalone.
