Yearly price increase question

Hi,

I’ve just switched sky broadband to bt/ee. With my phone I’m with giffgaff. They say they don’t cap speeds but I’m paying £10 a month and getting 20gigs at a speed of 12mbps. That’s if it works, most of the time it will say it has 5g but won’t connect.

I’ve looked at the plans for ee. I’d be loookinf at £13 plan. However as its sim only and on a rolling month, will that honestly go up to £14 in march? I’ve always stuck to £10 at giffgaff. I don’t need unlimited but would like reliability to actually connect.

im assuming they do this as they want you to buy a 24/36 month contract with a phone. I’m assuming these don’t increase during that time?

thanks

@Parrotgirl : The price of all mobile contract plans go up by £1.50 on the 31 March each year. If you're buying a phone the device itself is a separate flex-pay bill which doesn't go up but the airtime plan (the SIM) plan does.

I just found some 24 month sim only deals. Do these still increase?
