Just seen a brilliant deal from O2. 50gb 5g data (increased to 100gb as I have virgin broadband) with unlimited calls /texts for an equivalent £14/month. I'm currently OOC paying nearly £20/ for 20gb 4g. Whilst I don't live in a 5g area, the data alone is enough to convince me to switch over, but I am otherwise happy with EE. Any thoughts/experiences from anyone? Cheers.

End of the day its your choice which Network to go with, out of interest is this 02 Directly or Virgin Mobile (O2) as there is a big difference between them with Customer Services. Other thing to look at for with the 02 Network is there 5G Roll Out, not very impressive if I'm honest, so if 5G is your thing or your planning on 5G for the future, you may want to look into that one.
How long have you been with EE for, if its long term and your happy with EE, give CS a call and see what they can do to entice you to stay or Sign up for a new Plan with some possible extra benefits. EE do offer some Double Data deals now and then ie, 80 + 80gb (160gb) plus UL and UL maybe thats a starting point you if Data is your thing.

Hey thanks for replying. It's with O2 directly. I can't really comment on customer service levels as I don't recall ever having to contact CS since joining about 5 years ago. I'm not so fussed on 5g, it's just the data (100 GB) + 6 months free Disney plus for less than £13/m is an absolute steal. I'll give CS a bell and see if they're willing to offer me something. If not, it'd be a shame because I've had no issues with EE whatsoever.

Different operators have differing strategies with price from time-to-time, and both Virgin Media & O2 are currently quite aggressive with cross-selling.
EE have never claimed to be the cheapest network, but do pride themselves on network quality - and you're unlikely to replicate EE's network service with some other providers.
Make sure you test your new O2 phone in all the areas you're likely to want to use it, within any 14day cooling-off-period.

Don't forget that if you're plan has a smart benefit, you're effectively taking off that price (say Netflix at £7 a months) means technically you're paying £7 a month (out of the £14) if that makes sense

Price shouldn't be the only factor though, but it is an important one. Signal is usually important too. It's worth asking others on O2 or getting maybe testing with a PAYG SIM before you have a hard credit check and may regret leaving. That said, signal may be better, and you get free EU roaming!

Up to 25GB to share your clogs only, yes. 😆
It may be £2 a day, Or £10 a month, but you get to use all your data. it depends when OP signed up, as they may get to use it for free, like I do. All my 60GB data

I would try that suggestion of an O2 PAYG sim. I've been with O2 previously so shouldn't be problems with credit (I'd just pay for the whole year upfront if needs be). However....EE meanwhile have come back with 160gb for £16/m for 12 months, and with Netflix chucked in for free (I was going to cancel my current one... So that balances out financially....I think EE wins!
