Want to stop roaming

Hi,

Since I bought my phone, I’ve noticed a £2.47 roaming add-on. I’m not sure if this is normal since I’ve been in the UK for most of the year. I thought the first year of my contract might be more expensive, but I’ve had it for over a year now and I’m still paying nearly £100 when it should be £78. I’d appreciate some help in understanding why this is happening and what I can do about it.Thank you!

The £2.47 EU roaming add-on is on every contract user's a/c & can't be removed but you are only charged it on any day when you use any of your UK allowances in EU.

If you're not roaming in EU & your bill is higher than you expect than it's for other reasons.

@Ellie_12  Have you looked at your bill breakdown to see if you have any out of allowance charges?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I’ve looked at my bill breakdown, and it shows my next bill will be £84. The same thing happened last month, but I received a message saying I had underpaid by £6. So I am paying £90 anyways. However, as you can see, my original contract is £78. I just want to confirm  am I being charged more, or is this normal?

@Ellie_12 : You started this contract before Apr. 2024 @ £78 pm & in Apr. 2024 there was a contractual CPI+ price increase of 7.9% making it £84.16.

Ah okay thank you

But why I am paying the extra £6 if you get me

Because you agreed to annual price increases when you accepted the contract. It was also advertised on wherever you ordered it from.

Today you'll see it as "Monthly price increases £1.50 for SIM Only plans on 31 March each year". CPI+ increases are no longer. Now it is a fixed amount each year.

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.

So what does that mean, I’m paying more for my phone?
