Hi experts!
I will be living in Spain for 9 months starting September 2024. I want to keep my existing number. My current number is no longer in contract, but started in 2022. Can you please advise what is the cheapest option available for me. Or am I going to be better off getting a SIM card in Spain?
Ideally, I want to stay with ee, but don't want to pay over the odds.
Thanks!

EE is a UK network operator, and roaming services are intended for those taking short trips abroad, not long-term residents.
If you cancel your monthly plan contract & migrate it to PAYG, you will only be subject to the hibernation policy but otherwise your number will remain active. You will be subject to a daily charge anytime you use your phone in the EU for anything other than receiving texts.
You will need to complete the migration and use what will be your new PAYG SIM, in the UK before travelling to Spain.
