Why can I get a Google 9 pro 50% cheaper by taking a new contract than staying with EE with an upgrade??

What deals are you looking at currently as an Upgrade, and what other deals are you seeing offered as a new contract? Feel free to provide screenshots, just make sure you blur out any personal info.
