Currently I have two SIM only pay-monthly contracts both out of plan.
I want to upgrade them both to new 24 months plans, as follows:
SIM 1 to 25 Gb All Rounder Plan + 1 Extra
SIM 2 to 5G Essentials Plan
I am told I can only have the discount or any offers applied to SIM2, not SIM1.
This means for the above it is significantly more than the following:
SIM 1 to 5G Essentials Plan
SIM 2 to 25 Gb All Rounder Plan + 1 Extra
But I don't want it in that order! I get that "computer says no". I get that I can only have 1 discount or offer. But surely it cannot be impossible? It doesn't (to me) seem an unreasonable request.
I was told no can do. Somewhat forcibly to be honest.

@ibeadam , have you spoken to customer service?
It is right, you can only have one discount or offer, I am sure, but they are the best people to give you an answer and look into this for you.

I absolutely understand that I can only have one discount. I just want it on SIM1 and not SIM2!

SIM 1 - I want to upgrade to All Rounder Plan 25Gb + 1 gift = £20.30 (was £29)
SIM 2 - I want to upgrade to Essentials Plan with least data. = £15 quotes on phone conversation.
HOWEVER, I can't do that unless Essentials is on SIM1 and All Rounder on SIM2.

@ibeadam , have you spoken to customer service as to what you want to do, as they may be able to help?

Afraid so. They tell me they can only offer what the computer says and it's impossible to do anything else. He got quite shirty with me unfortunately.

Is it the multi-line discount, @ibeadam?

Yes.
Basically my "qualifying plan" is SIM1 where as I want it to be SIM2.
They only way it seems possible to swap them over is for SIM1 to leave EE and then come back. Which is a pain.
