@Adele26 With flex pay tariff you are billed separately for the airtime and device. You can pay off the device over 24 or 36 months there is no price difference between this you got pay less each month over 36 months. The airtime part of the contract is 24 months. You can only upgrade once you have paid off the device. You can pay more each month to lower the monthly cost over the duration of the contract termed you agreed or you can pay off the remaining price of the device contract when ever you wish,

@Adele26 Are you on an all rounder plan just now by any chance? Sounds like upgrade anytime if asking for return. When does your contract actualky end? Can usually upgrade & keep existong handset within last 30 days

Thanks for getting back to us, @Adele26.
If you’re only seeing upgrade options that include a trade‑in, it’s usually because you have more than 30 days left on your contract.
The standard upgrade choices, where you keep your phone, only appear once you’re closer to your end date.
Once you reach the last 30 days, you should see the normal upgrade options where you don’t need to return your device.
If it still only shows trade‑in choices at that point, our customer support team can set up the right upgrade over the phone.
