Upgrade and Flex Plan not an option?

Hi all,

My 24 month contract comes to an end in September 2025 but I am now eligible to upgrade anytime and swap/trade in my current device. I've been looking at the Samsung S25 Ultra on an Essentials Plus package but it only gives the total amount, there is no breakdown of airtime costing and the handset charge, it's just bulked together as one sum.

With an early upgrade, is there an option to change it to Flex Plan as essentially it's a new contract? I'm potentially interested in Flex Plan because I have a family member who works for BT where I can get a discount code. Having said that, looking at the Flex Plan as a new customer, as the airtime is already discounted, it looks like I can't get any further reductions anyways so that may be pointless?

EE - can you also explain how as a new customer, the All Rounder package is cheaper, including an extra add on, then the price for current members?

Essentials plus, which doesn't get an extra add on, is £86 a month for existing members. That's the same price as the All Rounder for new customers! The All Rounder with the add on included is £92 for existing customers. Why?

So you're telling me if you were an existing customer and noticed you weren't getting a good deal for being loyal, only as a new customer, you'd just accept it?

You're only right about one thing, no one has forced me to stay with EE.

Fortunately, my issue has now been resolved by the EE team and I've now got an amazing deal on upgrading for a lot less. Thanks anyways.

@Vixstar87  It’s called enticing customers.  You’re going to say something about customer loyalty and I’ll say you choose to sign a new contract and no one foced you to stay at EE.    Why shouldn’t EE offer deals to new customers and why should EE offer that same deal to existing customers ?

Perhaps they should or better still if they increased the new customer price and lowered the existing customer price we’ll all pay the same and then no more deals or offers for anyone.

Hi @Vixstar87

I would suggest speaking with EE CS to see what they can offer.

Thanks
