I've been trying to talk to someone a EE for well over a week about an upgrade but never ever answers the phone or replies to emails, is there any other way to get in touch with them?

If you are on contract just click "Contact EE" at the top of any Community page and follow through for what you want until you see "Start conversation" to Live Chat during UK business hours.

@jimol , live chat will only be answered when someone is available and not answering calls, not sure why you are having so much difficulty speaking to someone via the phone, as that has never happened to me when I have rang them. I personally have never done live chat, as prefer to speak to customer service.
