Trying to rejoin EE after a few days of leaving

Hi, I cancelled my EE contract and ported my number over to Vodafone but after a few days I realised how bad Vodafone were and have cancelled my new contract within 14 days, I’ve got my pac code from them and am trying to come back to EE but it doesn’t seem to be that easy, I’m having to come back as a PAYG customer for a month before I can transfer onto a new contract, does this correct? I’m very confused! I’ve had a 20 minute conversation with EE today who are sending me a new sim which will have my original number ported to it but I’ve not received any emails or texts or anything?

is this normal? Has anybody else had this issue?

Hi @Dan309

Welcome to the community.

Did they say if they had re-activated your original subscription?
Chris

No, my original contract was closed and he said if tried to rejoin within 30 days then I would probably fail the credit check so advised me to port my number back to EE onto a PAYG sim which he would send to me and then after about a month I was to change from PAYG to a proper monthly contract!

im just concerned as I never received any email confirmation and I need to port my number from Vodafone before the 14 days are up

Was it our customer service team on 150 that you spoke to, @Dan309?

Chris

Hi, no I called 0800 0790533 after trying to make an order online, the EE website gave me this number to call

Thanks @Dan309

I would suggest calling our Mobile Care team again so that they can check and look into this for you.

Chris

@Christopher_G  What’s the best number to call as I would normally call 150 but I’m currently still on Vodafone so 150 doesn’t work

as a suggestion, get a 30 day sim only plan from Plusnet.  They use the EE network, so you know your signal will be as good as it was on EE previously , but you just don't get 5G or visual voicemail.

Then you can wait a month and take out a new EE contract and port your number back, or stay with plusnet etc...

hope that helps.
