So here I am again - I have 5 plans (4 phones and a SIM plan) and I am trying to review offers for upgrading the SIM to a phone plan and once again I get this message - this has happened the last 4 times I have tried to upgrade online over 3 years so this is not new and every time I have had to call the number and wait for hours to get served then  be given the best offer the customer service rep can find after asking me which phone I wanted (which is pretty difficult to decide when you can't view and compare on the website). I complained about it before and was told they removed/added me from their system and the problem would correct itself but of course it never did. Each time it has happened I have sworn that I will simply not use EE any more if it happens again, but of course because the wife and kids want to keep their numbers I never do - well this time it is my old phone on a SIM only plan I am trying to upgrade and I have had enough - I will be going to a different provider and as soon as I receive my new handset and contract from them I will cancel the EE SIM only deal - from my perspective this is 1 plan down and only 4 more to go - this is lost business for EE but if you really can't be bothered to solve these problems you obviously aren't that bothered about retaining the business either (I would have even gone into the local EE shop but it is no longer there!). I'm really not happy as you can probably tell

Hello @Bdreedy ,

Welcome to the community,

Have you tried speaking to customer service? They may be able to offer a better deal if you speak to them.

You should only have to wait 10-15 minutes, most 30 minutes for someone to answer the phone. Best to hang up and try again at another time.

Not sure why you are having these problems, but have always found customer service very helpful. I do not upgrade online, but do it but do it by ringing customer service.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Yes I have spoken to them the last 4 times I have upgraded phones for my family and I have no idea if I get a better deal or not because I pretty much get what they tell me because I cannot compare anything online ! (one of the deals I was given certainly wasn't the best as a friend got the same deal in the same week £13 cheaper on the same phone !!) - I no longer want to talk to customer services, if they offer upgrades online via the website but then don't allow you to do this then why don't they bin the option and just put a message telling you to call customer services in the first place - I really don't see why I should have to call someone and wait in a queue for them to answer so I can hand over money to them based on an offer they decide is best for me !!!

@Bdreedy , did you click on upgrades when trying to do it online? You should see all the options by clicking on shop and then you can click on sim only plans, but make sure that you are logged in, you can then also click on show more or is it all plans on that page.

Sorry but I know how to navigate websites and I have tried all these options - I can see the shop page which shows the phone and the banner page with the 'plans from xxx a month' on it but if I select any phone at all I get the same message that sorry no plans are available so I can make no comparison. The website is broken and they know it is broken but have decided they can't be bothered to fix the issue. I don't know if they monitor these communities but I say again, I am not calling customer services to be put in a queue and then answer lots of security questions to prove it is me when I am already logged into my own account yet cannot perform a simple upgrade !. As I already stated, this has happened the last 4 times I have upgraded phones over a number of years and having been an EE customer since 2013, you'd think they would be just a little bit interested in retaining business by making sure their online shop actually functioned properly !

I’m having the exact same problem and it’s been like it for the last 3 upgrades (I have multiple devices/lines too).
I log in to my account and a banner comes up telling me it’s time to upgrade….I find the phone I want and then when I click on it it says “Sorry there are no plans available for this device right now”. I’ve clicked on every single phone out of curiosity and it just says the same message on each one. I’ve been with EE since 2010, always pay my bill and have never had any issue like this until the last 18months or so.
Luckily I do have an EE shop locally and have always been able to upgrade with no issues in store, but it’s not the point - it’s not convenient for me as finding the time to go to the shop is tricky with work and having a big busy family and the deals are never as good in the shop as the ones online.
I also used to be able to add accessories to my account and pay over 11 months - that option is no longer available to me either!! There don’t seem to be any perks of being a loyal customer of many years anymore so I’m also considering moving to another network.

Sorry this isn’t an answer or resolution, but just wanted you to know that your not alone with this issue!!
