My latest bill included something unexpected:
Add-ons: Weekend calls to UK Landlines £2.80
As far as I am aware, I have never agreed to buying this additional "add on" - it makes no sense to me... I can't remember the last time I used my landline to make calls to other landlines. I use it for incoming calls - and, very occasionally, an outgoing call to a mobile. (In the last month the only outgoing calls were to find a misplaced mobile.)
What is the best way to get this removed? I know it's only £2.80 - but, over a year, this will cost me over £30 for an add-on service I don't need and I don't remember having agreed to buy. When I try to "Manage Broadband" - using the website - I'm either told that something failed or am told that an order is pending (which seems odd... as I've placed no new orders for anything with EE in 2025.)
Do I need to call EE to get this corrected? When I try to manage my plan via ee.co.uk/myee, I get:
"Sorry! Something went wrong. Please try again later."
Which isn't very helpful. Can anyone tell me how to sort this out without me having to write to EE to complain?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@Steve_EE25 you need to call customer support as it’s an account change.

That's a Call add-on for legacy Home BB. Are you on ADSL BB? It was probably added when you set up your BB as the default. You will need to call CS to get it removed.
