Just a curiosity question ATM but if I added a second device to my plan would that effect the contract of my first device. I.e if I have a phone that expires in 2023 but I add a second contract (for device and new SIM) today, would my other contract still end in 2023 i.e I would then at end of first contract go down to just one device? Or does 'adding a device' extend the contract of the first so they are simultaneously running?
Or *if* in theory Phone A as an added device and SIM (e.g say 125gb data, unlimited phone calls and texts) is £50pm but if I upgraded early it's £80pm for the same plan on my current number
Would that £50pm go up to £80pm when the first contract ends and the second device is the only device?
Sorry if this is confusing but I want to know how it would work

Adding a 2nd contract to your a/c will not affect the 1st contract in any way other than you will get a 10% discount off the additional line.
The 1st contract will not end in 2023 unless you cancel or upgrade it. These mobile contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly cancel, upgrade or port your no. away. There will however be a 10% discount after 3 months.
If you upgraded the 1st contract early then the new upgraded contract will replace the existing contract.

@Wildcharms92 Each device has its own contract and having a 2nd device on your account doesn’t change the terms of that 1st contract. Both will be 24 months. You’ll need to give 30 days notice to terminate the first contract. and you’ll only pay for the 2nd contract. You’ll loose any discount you will get for the 2nd device on your account if/when you terminate the first contract.
That £50 wouldn’t go up to £80 when the first contract ends as the contract is £50. You’ll just loose any discount for have a 2nd line on your account, and the 1Gb extra data the first contract would get for having a 2nd line.

By "lose any discount" do you mean like specifically anything that comes from having two contracts?
I.e if the new contract was showing as £50 a month and part of the deal on the new one is "free netflix" I would in essence lose the free netflix?
Or do you mean if the contract was £50 but there was a deal saying "get a second device and you'll receive free netflix" I would then lose the netflix when I go down to one?
I.e do you mean I'd lose all discounts connected to the second phones contract or just any discounts that are directly given to me from having two contracts?

Hi @Wildcharms92,
You'd just lose your multi-line discount when you cancel your original contract. It wouldn't affect the terms of your second contract.
Hope this helps.
