Morning,. 

I applied for a contract which was declined although EE debited my account with £130.  

Order number XKOxxxxxxxxx.

Please release funds back to my account.

Understand, when will it be returned to my account then. My bank was debited with this amount .

Correct it's pending.
I believe it's absurd that I have to wait 5-10 days for money to be returned to my account if it has not been deposited to EE yet.

Why is money taken upfront if you are not sure I'd the application will be approved?

Hi @luke1969

Once the order is checked and if this is declined, no amount will be taken. This is pending with your bank in case the order was accepted.

@luke1969  .. I had a couple of duplicate payments on my bank card recently when the card machine in a local bar malfunctioned.  They appeared on my bank a/c as pending from Sunday to the following Friday when they disappeared.  It's just the way the banking system works, nothing to worry about.
