I knew nothing about this charge until I received my first bill. Is there no way to opt out of this?

Hello @forrest2
If you don't want to have chargeable itemised billing, you can call EE C/S and have this removed.

is this really necessary to charge itemised bills? It's not like we are asking for a paper copy, it's just data that you have available anyway. Why would this have to be charged?

How to get this refunded? I genuinely feel like I'm being scammed and it's making me regret switching to EE.

Its somewhat reassuring to see that I am not the only one who has problems with itemised billing, I willingly pay £2..50 per month for itemised billing but am yet to receive data showing calls made etc. Talk about obtainng monies by false pretences EE are one of the biggest scammers in the the mobile industry, I wish I could go back to BT never had this problem with them.

@JohnMutley551 Have you actually looked at your bills on your account or downloaded one of your bills. You will not receive anything it’s down to you to look or download that bill from your EE account.

Thanks for coming to the community.
What happens when you view the bills in your EE account, do they show any calls and texts listed?
How long have you been paying for itemised billing?
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

Hello Chris,
Thank you for your reply.
I pay £2.50 per month for itemised billing, the bill arrives in the post every month, no itemised billing, just 4 pages of basic repetitive information such as my name address, account number, how to get in touch, (that's a joke, EE always seem to be suffering from a high volume of calls at the moment, I'm not surprised if other customers are suffering like me) , how my bill is worked out, and the monthly charges, 4 pages, but pages 5 and 6 that should include itemised billing are always missing!.
So I have to refute your comment that it is down to me to download my bill, it is not, I am paying for a service that I am not receiving. EE are charging me every month but not keeping their side of the contract! One neighbour has volunteered to help me to take EE to the Small Claims Court to recoup my payments as I have the paper evidence, I just want EE to provide the itemised billing I am paying for. my latest bill dated 24 November arrived and again no itemised billing just the 4 repetitive information I refer to above.
John.

Thank you for your/enquiry.
I have just logged into my account to answer your query, and the answer to that is no, itemised billing is not displayed.
The screen displays the bill with information the account has been paid and my next bill will be 24 December, followed lower down with the account charges for the two phones, (I have one for my son), concluding with account information of how to make a payment, manage direct debit, payment history, and lastly get more add-ons. Add-ons? They could add the itemised billing service that I am paying for that would be nice!
To answer your second query, I have (unfortunately) been with EE since 25 Feb 24.
I have made attempts over the phone to rectify the problem over the last few months, even speaking with human beings on occasions, who have stated they would refer it to the "teccy guys" (their words not mine) to resolve the issue, I have now run out of patience, I don't have the time to spend waiting on the phone to solve this problem.
John.
P.S. I only go online for an hour or so every day, I do not carry my moby around with me, (it's quite often left in the car!) it is a phone that is what I tend to use it for mostly, as I have fingers like pork sausages I lack dexterity to use such a small keyboard as on a moby, so I always use my laptop to go online, and if you should reply today I will apologise in advance for not responding as I will be logging off soon to go back downstairs to continue normal family life as I have known it for many a year.
