@dleon78  Your allowance is set for that tariff.  Lowering the data amount will reduce the tariff cost and you can not lower the tariff to a cheaper tariff cost.   The contract you agreed too was for that amount for the term of the contract. 

And if EE lowered the amount of data you’ll still pay the same amount you agreed too and they can not do that as it’s set against your tariff cost.

Have you completed your commitment period (aka minimum term period) and thus would be eligible to upgrade to a SIM-only contract with lower data allowance?

Your original price would have been granted on the basis that you commit to the allowance for the commitment period.
